Hello TCS Families!
Our second week was even better than the first! I am seeing friendships form and students try new things! It is so much fun to watch these guys grow! It's hard to believe that we only have 5 more students than last year, because this place is buzzing like a beehive with activity!
Thank you to everyone who purchased Raffle Tickets for free tuition! It has been very touching to see how many of our families are buying tickets in honor of students that are not their own. That embodies the TCS spirit beautifully! We still have 15 more days to sell tickets before we draw! If you plan on buying 10 or more, please do so through the Heritage Foundation so that the donation will be increased by 20%. (Shoot me an email and I'll send you a link if you need help with that.)
I tried really hard to shrink the picture page down to only 1 page, but there are just too many precious moments happening to accomplish that! Please excuse the extra large picture doc :)
Parents: have any of you gone through a "unique" financial situation? Did you invest young? Do you have retirement insights? Have you filed for bankruptcy? Have you made a system, hacked a system, or been broken by a system? Started a business? Lost a business? Invented something? Our "Adulting 101: Financial Literacy for Teens" class composed of all our seniors wants to hear from you! Please text me and pick a day when you can come in as a guest speaker.
We are looking for musical instruments. We have students interested in the flute, the saxophone, the trumpet, the clarinet....and more! Do you have an old instrument that needs a new home? Please send it in! Or if you are out shopping one day and see a well priced one, please grab it if you can! Thanks!
Stuff to go over:
1) There are new Zoom links attached. We had some technical difficulties with the last list, but this one should iron all those out.
2) Please use the QR code to "like" us on Instagram!
3) Cheer Practice will be on Tuesday next week because there is no school on Monday. ( I am attaching a school calendar for anyone who is surprised by that news.) There is also an attachment that explains a volunteer opportunity for cheer team members.
4) A student turned in a lost wallet. There is no identification. There is cash. If you can tell me what the wallet looks like and how much is in it, I will return your wallet to you :)
5) If you want to play a sport with TCS, please make sure you send in your sports physical!
6) The meet schedule for Cross Country is attached.
Also, if you heard about Bailey, I want to update you. My family took in a little puppy from a friend's accidental litter. She is the sweetest little bundle. She has been coming to school with me because she is simply too small to leave at home. When that becomes a detrimental distraction, I will find other arrangements. For now though, she is a baby- she sleeps a LOT!
Thanks!
